As a hobby Gray has enjoyed a long history of electronic tinkering and design. I took a class or two in College but for the most part I enjoy electronics and hardware hacking as a hobby and not a career. I have done several PIC projects using the 16Fxxx processors and although there are better processors out there these are some of the cheapest and have a decent instruction set if your willing to write assembly.

Ambitions: To learn more about mechanical design and manufacturing of mechanical parts needed to bring my ideas off the drawing board and connect it all together.

Latest work: Currently learning a lot about embedded linux development. My current hobby projects revolve around LED lighting displays.

LedSaber is a lighting display that places 256 LEDs into a translucent tube with a microcontroller to display cool light patterns.
