About Me
Ed is a long time Robot Group member who owns and operates Oak Hill Laser in Austin, Texas.
Although Ed has yet to build an actual robot, he has provided assistance to a number of the members for projects they have worked on in the Robot Group.
Various nicknames for this very strange creature are: Rushtilla, King Weasel, and Weasel Assoh (say it fast to get the gist).
His many diverse skills range from flying off the handle at the slightest provocation, taking very strong positions about subjects that many people are loathed to touch or comment on, using his planning skills to ruin perfectly worked out schedules and calling the membership at the last minute to help in any coordination activities for a long scheduled event.
Ed designed the infamous funnel cake cooker, which Rick Abbott so skillfully welded together.
Ed also helped coordinate and plan activities for the 2005 & 2006 Eeyore's Birthday Party funnel cake cooking and sales, which forever earned him at least a few new nicknames, which won't be printed here. Some people have actually gone as far as to invite further pain by asking Ed to assist in other public presentations and shows.
The image displayed above is at the old roboshack, loading up for the SXSW 2003 show.
The prominent rectangular object just outside his right foot is the CncProject which is the proud work of TomMorin, RickAbbott, DonColbath and many others.
Thanks to Tom, who came up with the idea from his many searches through the internet.
Tom Morin passed away on February 20th, 2007 near his family's home in South Texas. He will be greatly missed.
May he finally understand the mysteries of the universe.
